The Business of Love

The Business of Love

I’m in the business of love, which is amazing if you think about it. Two people coming together and deciding to spend the rest of their lives with each other. My role as a wedding planner is to make your wedding day even more wonderful than you could have imagined. Helping you to achieve all your wedding dreams and ensuring the planning process is not only enjoyable but stress-free. Wedding planning is the most rewarding job in the world and I love every second of it.

As the film, Love Actually says ‘love is all around’. It brings people and families together, bringing happiness and creating memories that will forever be cherished. The journey of love is also wonderful and I love listening to my clients love stories; how they met, how they got engaged, and their exciting adventures.

It’s thrilling for me, knowing that I get to be apart of their new adventure and help them take the next step into married life. Although I remain professional, I also create a friendship with my clients which continues past their wedding day into their future as a married couple.

I once took part in a surprise proposal serenade. A group of friends and I rehearsed a song and a small dance routine, which we performed in a local bar. Of course, the gentleman arranged it all and knew exactly what was going to happen. His girlfriend’s family were all there, they had no idea, thinking it was just a catch-up. With the confused looks on their face, we sang to the couple before we passed the ring to him. He got down on one knee and asked the big question, she said YES!

It was so exciting to be apart of amazing celebrations and a great honour that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Planning weddings has always been a passion of mine. I can remember marrying of my friends in the playground, making mini bouquets out of flowers we found on the school field and making them hold hands and say ‘I do’. Of course, I look back at those memories and laugh, but also realise my passion for weddings goes back to when I was just a little girl.
