We always loved the idea of an Autumn wedding, with all the golden hues, leaves falling from the trees and the crisp cosy weather. At the same time we wanted something a little different, something that had our own twist. So we explained our ideas to Amelia and she helped come up with the pop of blue colours to add to the golden yellow and orange colour palette. This was a delight to us as it was a perfect accompaniment and blue is definitely a favourite colour for us both. Amelia was able to create and combine our vision with her suggestions and styling into a reality. She personally looked into everything from the linen colours, table setting, floral designs and stationery, every beautiful detail was carefully considered. We had a wonderful and memorable wedding and our special day was captured in the most magical Autumn style setting with a touch of blue sparkle!

Amelia is warm, friendly, smart, fun to work with and a truly excellent wedding planner. Professional, organised and one of life's natural multitaskers - we would not have managed without her. We opted for a stunning venue with no wedding package attached to it and hiring Amelia Thompson Weddings was the best investment possible. Amelia came on board right from the start of our planning process and sourced suppliers, helped us make decisions and ultimately made our vision a reality. She has a wealth of experience, she really does know the industry inside out, so we always felt in safe hands. When it came to the day itself, she made the whole thing run like clockwork and it went without a hitch. If anything needed to happen, she would suddenly appear as if from nowhere and make it possible like a fairy godmother! Everything from orchestrating the timings and the running of the day to fixing broken button holes, cueing music and removing 2-year old photo-bombers from sabotaging a shot! I work in theater and so I find it hard to relax when it comes to making a big event happen, but Amelia made it possible for me to relax and simply focus on being a bride all day, and for that I will always be very grateful.

Hiring Amelia for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made it took so much pressure off us on our day and even leading up to it just meant we could enjoy our day knowing Amelia was there she was brilliant she went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day ever and not only was she our wedding coordinator she was our agony aunt or counsellor ,photographer and even an emergency seamstress haha I couldn't recommend her highly enough amazing at her job and amazing person also.

Having previously had a Covid cancelled wedding I couldn't face planning another so we reached out to Amelia at the very beginning of planning wedding 2.0 to help us start again. She was so understanding and calming throughout the whole process. She brought great ideas and solutions to the table, really making our dream wedding a reality. On the day, she was there making everything run smoothly, leaving me to have the most relaxed and fun day. I honestly can't recommend her enough!

We waited 3 years for our wedding day to come around but covid 19 had other ideas. We postponed twice in 2020 to May 2021, then with the realisation that it was likely we would have to postpone a third time we had all but given up hope and lost every ounce of excitement. The thought of contacting a single supplier yet again was triggering serious anxiety and mental health issues and we felt like the wedding was just a never ending circle of lost hope. Amelia got involved to help organise all our suppliers for us, from the second she was on board she took away all of our stress and worries and helped us ignite the wedding spark once again. Having Amelia doing everything for is meant that we could just focus on the important things surrounding our wedding and stress less about what time the photographer is due to take pictures of the boys doing up their cuff links! I can't thank Amelia enough from the bottom of my heart for how amazingly she handled the waves of emotion we threw at her and how perfectly the day ran because she was on board. Will recommend Amelia to absolutely everyone and I'm so happy to say that I haven't just had a wedding planner involved, I have made a good friend too.

We hired Amelia in the last stages of our build up and prep. We had a dry hire venue so lots of independent suppliers to manage and liaise with. Amelia was incredible from start to finish. We had regular meetings and spoke most days in the lead up. Amelia did a great job at rectifying any potential bumps in the road and helped us to iron out any creases. She was friendly and attentive, gave us lots of ideas but didn't pressure us to make decisions that we weren't comfortable with. She understood our vision and bought everything together better than we could have ever hoped for. She helped us to tie up the last few details and is an absolute credit to the wedding industry. Professionalism aside, we feel that we have also made a friend in Amelia, she was that easy to work with. Her meticulous planning and organisational skills really helped us to enjoy our last few weeks of the build up to the big day, but we also knew that we could relax on the day and enjoy every minute, knowing that she had everything in hand. We would highly recommend Amelia and can guarantee that she will deliver an outstanding service.
